A MoU has been signed between Bihar and Jharkhand on the sharing of Sone River water in presence of union home minister Amit Shah
This historic agreement has resolved a long-standing water dispute in eastern India. The agreement will provide irrigation water to millions of farmers across vast rural areas of Bihar and Jharkhand, while also ensuring access to drinking water for the people.
The agreement reached today is an excellent example of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of Team Bharat and cooperative federalism.
On the initiative of Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, long-pending water disputes between various states that had been unresolved for several decades are being resolved through the Inter-State Council, so far this year, four historic agreements have been reached

Depalpur achieved ‘Mission Zero’ in tackling legacy waste: union ministry of housing & urban affairs
Indore has taken Depalpur under its wing. From successfully implementing the rigorous 4-bin waste segregation system to clearing out 1,250 tons of legacy waste, the transformation is nothing short of incredible!
Depalpur’s journey to “Zero Legacy Waste”, reads like a triumph of collective will and scientific precision, under Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0. Under the Swachh Shehar Jodi initiative, Indore Municipal Corporation and Depalpur Nagar Parishad worked hand in hand to build a people‑driven waste management system. Door‑to‑door collection and segregation into four categories, has now become routine. Once 100% coverage was achieved, the focus shifted to the daunting challenge of legacy waste.

PM condoles loss of lives in firecracker factory blast in Kaushambi, UP; announces financial support
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in a mishap at a firecracker factory in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh. Shri Modi conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Shri Modi also announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) to the next of kin of each deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured.

Union minister of science & technology inaugurates first of its kind “Green Forge” complex at Mohali; calls it as a milestone in genetically modified crop revolution
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Sciences; Minister of State, PMO, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated first of its kind “Green Forge” Complex at “National Agri-food & Biomanufacturing Institute” (BRIC-NABI) at Mohali. The Minister described this as a milestone in genetically modified crop revolution.
Addressing the National Conclave on BioE3 (Biotechnology for Economy, Environment and Employment) at BRIC-National Agri Food Biomanufacturing Institute (BRIC-NABI), Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the newly inaugurated Green Forge facility, with its controlled simulation chambers, will enable the cultivation and experimentation of genetically modified crops under varied environmental conditions, helping researchers assess their suitability for different locations.
